Fig syrup can be administered as a laxative. It is used to help with digestive problems by soaking the fruit in water for several hours, then drinking the water and eating the fruit.

Dried figs are helpful for heartburn.

The sap of unripe figs contain antiviral properties. You can applying it on the warts twice a day helps to cure them. It is recommended to drip the milk on the root of the exposed wart.

Drinking fig brew helps relieve dry cough, asthma and sore throat, and helps in cases of excess mucus. Cook a fig or two with half a cup of water for a few minutes, and drink the liquid several times a day.

For treating eye infections dilute fig milk with water and apply on the inflamed eye with a gauze bandage.

Figs are also good for insomnia. They contain a nutrient called tryptophan which promotes good sleep.

The leaves have been used also for ringworm, eczema and warts. For skin infections a tea is made and applied to the skin.
